Landing and Arrival in Guyana #5
Okay followers no one guessed what show I was talking about so I will tell you (what slackers)....it is "Clean House." I can hear the theme song in my head, "Who wants a clean house! So I land and am one of the last ones off the plane. So I got on snow boots, tights, and a sweater!!!!! Ummmm, hello, it is 80 degrees outside!!!!! LOL Oh my goodness, when I stepped off the plane, I felt like I was at the desert!!!!! Hot, Hot, Hot....boy was it hot! I couldn't take off any of those things so I had to suffer until I was able to get to my hotel room. When getting off the plane I couldn't help but notice that I wasn't being directed to the airport terminal for passengers....rather I was being directed down the plane steps to the place where baggage people were and where other planes were!!!! Then I there were men with orange reflecter jackets telling me to walk to the left of the cones!!!! SMILE This was truly different...I just smiled and said: Praise the Lord! Okay, no I didn't say that but I was happy to be out the air and finally in Guyana. So, I went inside for my luggage and WOW...WOW....All I saw was folk, folk, folk!!!!! People were pulling bags off the baggage belt even though it didn't belong to them. So I am looking on the belt for my luggage and it is already on the floor mixed with a bunch of luggage that belonged to other folk! huh...again WOW. I literally had to walk the floor looking at tags on bags to locate my own bag. Now you know that I got on winter stuff and did I mention that there were folk, folk and folk. Here I am trying to find my luggage...hmmmm I was ready to be done with it all!!!!! Even though I wanted to be done with it all....I also wanted to take a picture because it was truly an unbelievable experience, but I opted not to...didn't want to have to write that I had a "black eye" LOL Once that was over, we went outside and was greeted by the Guyana Church delegation (see picture of the airport and our Bishop).
